Mantras and affirmations

I’ve chosen mantras and affirmations as my subject for the 100-day-project this year. I asked friends and collegues to tell me their mantras. And the amount of interesting affirmations was intense. By now I got more than 150 different mantras. Of course some of them doubled or tippled like: This too shall pass or: Everything is figuroutable or Follow the flow

And by doing this I started to find a new love or should I say obsession?
Art journaling.
I started to draw and paint and mix media and trying out new techniques and all the mantras helped me to stay on track. This is so much fun. I never want to stop again.

I’m now planning to have 10 of these images printed on sustainable paper and with soy colors. This has always been a dream of mine and now I’m going to do this!. Yes!

female designer

Female Designer from Germany

I was very happy to have the possibility to hold a speech about female designer from Austria and Germany. Did you know, in german there is always a second word for female profession like actor/actresse. So it is for designer: Designerin. But if you google that special female form for designer you still only find man. That made me and my collegue Miriam think about it and how to maybe change that.

We did some research about interesting designer from Austria and Germany and found these ten. Some of them are already dead and some are just about to start a bright career but we found them all very cool. I did some portrait illustrations and together we hold this kind of pitch speech in front of members of the German goverment and some 100 more interested persons.

These are the Designers we were talking about:

52 weeks of sustainability

Illustrations about sustainability

As an illustrator working in Berlin I think a lot about living sustainable. This is why I created the project #52 weeks of sustainability together with my illustrator friend Emily Claire Völckers. We invited other illustrators to share their thoughts via illustrations and we post the best on instagram @52weeksofsustainability . Feel free to join us.

Every week we post a new theme on Instagram

We already had the themes: biking, sustainable fashin, plastic free shopping, upcycling, collecting fruits and rainforest
